Thomas Ogorzalek, Ph.D.

CO-FOUNDER AND LEAD DATA SCIENTIST

Thomas Ogorzalek is a co-Founder and Lead Data Scientist at 2040. He is a political scientist with more than two decades of experience in urban politics, policy advocacy, elections, and multi-method research. His commentary has appeared in top public and scholarly outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, and American Political Science Review. He also serves as the Co-Director of the Chicago Democracy Project. He has held academic appointments from the City University of New York (CUNY), Northwestern University, Princeton University, and Sciences Po (Paris). He earned a PhD from Columbia University, an MA from the New School for Social Research, and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
